Description
Coolabah Canvas Australian made was created for the harsh Australian weather. It’s fine weave, light weight, polyester/cotton blended tenting canvas finished with the Dynaproof process. This chemical increases the strength of the canvas while also increasing the weight from its loomstate (natural fibre) weight of 218 gsm to 275 gsm. The Dynaproofed™ chemical combines resistance against degradation caused from harmful UV, as well as resistance against bacteria, algae and fungi growth. This system allows the fabric to “breathe” as the woven base fabric is not sealed by a coating.

Coolabah Canvas is recommended as a high quality solution for walling solutions in campervans – where a large amount of fabric is needs to be folded into a compact area. This canvas is tailored for very specific applications namely lightweight tent roofs & walls, awnings, flyovers and camper trailer walls and roofs.

By their very nature, woven fabrics are porous. This can be an advantage because it allows movement of air between the internal and external surfaces, minimising the likelihood of condensation and temperature difference. However the obvious difficulty is preventing water penetration. Coolabah Canvas is made water repellent by finishing the manufacturing process with a propriety proofing. This provides a hydrophobic film on the fibres, which has the affect of altering their absorption characteristics, thus preventing capillary action of seepage.
